My name is Will Travis and I’m the captain of this blog and podcast. Always first and foremost I am a disciple of Jesus and a son of the Catholic Church. Beyond that, I am a husband and father to three wonderful kids. I have been part of a recycling company for 20 years and recently have had some transition in our business which got me to thinking about what I am doing, and what do I want to do.
That process has led me in part to putting together this blog/podcast. Early in my 20’s I had an awakening in my faith. That’s a story for another time, but needless to say it changed everything. In the years after that, I had a passion to learn more about my faith, and more about the Lord. In 2003 I attended a 10 day school of evangelization offered by Renewal Ministries. Again, the Lord wrecked me… in a good way. He wounded me if that makes sense, kind of in a St. John of the Cross kind of way… “O living flame of love that tenderly wounds my soul in its deepest center”. That wound is at the same time my joy and a gnawing ache. I don’t want to get too deep, but since then mission and evangelization have “clicked” with me.
Forward to now, I am hoping that this podcast and blog be a tool in your toolbox that is practical, and leads us both to grow as missionary disciples.
